Problem
Most parents are unable to send their children m/ward to school because they can’t afford quality education, aside children, some adults are unable to also get education due to criticism and lack of funds, accessibility and distance.
Solution
Design an app that will help families, adults, students, individuals who are interested in learning get free access to quality education, schools & institutes around them and also online.
OVERVIEW
Free-edu is an educational organization focused on helping people/families get access to free education from anywhere in the world with ease. The primary target includes children, students, adults, parents who are willing and able to learn and those with disabilities
Responsive Website Design

The design for each screen size variation included mobile, tablet & desktop.
I optimized the designs to fit specific user needs of each device & screen size.
USER RESEARCH
I used free-edu data on lack of access to free and quality education to develop interview questions, which were used to conduct user interviews, most interview participants reported how not being able to send their children/ward to or attend school made them feel bad, the feedback received through the research made it very clear that users would be very grateful if they had access to an easy to use tool to help guide them on how to get free and quality education.
Competitive Audit Reports
An audit of a few competitors products provided directions on gaps & opportunity to address with the Free-edu app.
Ideation
I did a quick ideation exercise to come up with ideas for how to address gaps identified in the competitive audit. My focus was specifically on easy access to free schools
Site Map
With the app design completed I started work on designing the responsive website, I used the Free-edu sitemap to guide the organizational structure of each screen’s design to ensure a cohesive & consistent experience across devices.

What I learned
It wasn’t an easy design to build but as i diligently went through each steps i was able to understand & align with specific user needs and came up with solution that were both feasible and useful.
